4. Products and Eligibility

4.1 Product Information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, ingredient listings, pricing, and availability information on our website are accurate. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions or other content is entirely free from errors. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice.

Product images are for illustrative purposes only. The appearance of products, including packaging, may vary from images shown.

4.2 UK Cosmetics Regulation Compliance

All GENOSYS products are cosmetic products and comply with the UK Cosmetics Regulation (Retained Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 as amended). Our products have undergone the required safety assessments and are notified on the UK Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP) where required.

4.3 Not Medicinal Products

All products sold on this website are cosmetic products only. They are not medicinal products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition or disease. Any reference to skin concerns is for cosmetic purposes only and does not constitute a medical claim.

4.4 Age

Our website and products are intended for use by persons aged 18 and over. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. Some products containing high-strength active ingredients (such as retinoids or exfoliating acids) may carry specific age or use guidance on their labelling, which you should follow carefully.

5. Orders and Pricing

5.1 Placing an Order

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion, including where products are out of stock, where we suspect fraudulent activity, or where there has been a pricing error.

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This is an acknowledgement that we have received your order and does not constitute acceptance. A contract between you and Skin Health Solutions Ltd is formed when we dispatch the products to you and send you a dispatch confirmation.

5.2 Pricing and VAT

All prices are displayed in GBP (£). Prices include VAT where applicable, at the prevailing UK rate. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. The price you pay is the price shown at the time you place your order, except in the case of an obvious error.

If a pricing error is discovered after you have placed an order, we will contact you as soon as possible and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order. If we cannot contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled and provide a full refund.

6. Payment

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods as indicated on our website. All payments are processed securely through our payment service providers. We do not store your full card details on our systems.

By submitting an order, you confirm that the payment details you have provided are accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.

7. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on your location and the delivery service selected. We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on our website at the time of purchase.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including postal or courier disruption, extreme weather, or customs delays. Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon delivery.

Please refer to our Shipping Policy on our website for full details of delivery options, costs, and estimated timescales.

8. Your Right to Cancel

8.1 14-Day Cancellation Right

As a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason. This right is provided under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2015.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision to cancel before the 14-day period expires. You can do this by:

You must return the goods to us within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation. You will be responsible for the cost of return postage unless the goods are faulty or not as described.

8.2 Refunds on Cancellation

We will refund the full price of the goods, including the standard delivery charge (if applicable), within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is sooner. Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used to place your order.

We may reduce your refund if the goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them (for example, if products have been opened, used, or damaged). This does not affect your statutory rights.

8.3 Exceptions to the Cancellation Right

The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to:

  • Sealed goods which have been unsealed after delivery and which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons (this may apply to certain skincare products once opened)
  • Goods that have been made to your specification or are clearly personalised

Where an exception applies, we will make this clear at the time of purchase.

9. Returns and Refunds — Your Statutory Rights

In addition to your 14-day cancellation right, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose:

  • Within 30 days of purchase: you are entitled to a full refund if the product is faulty or not as described
  • Between 30 days and 6 months: we will repair or replace the faulty product; if we cannot do so, you are entitled to a full or partial refund
  • Between 6 months and 6 years: you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement, or partial refund, though you may need to demonstrate the fault existed at the time of purchase

These rights are in addition to, and do not affect, your 14-day cancellation right. To initiate a return for a faulty product, please contact us at info@genosys.co.uk or call 01494 928977.

Please refer to our Returns Policy on our website for further details on how to return products.

10. Product Use and Safety

10.1 General Use

All GENOSYS products are for external use only unless otherwise specified on the product label. Please read all product labels, ingredient lists, warnings, and directions carefully before use.

10.2 Patch Testing

We strongly recommend performing a patch test before using any new skincare product, particularly if you have sensitive skin or a history of skin reactions. To patch test, apply a small amount of product to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before applying more widely. If redness, irritation, or discomfort occurs, discontinue use immediately.

10.3 Sensitive Skin and Medical Conditions

If you have a skin condition (such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, or dermatitis), are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under the care of a dermatologist or healthcare professional, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before using our products.

10.4 Allergens and Ingredients

Full ingredient lists (INCI format) are provided on each product page and on product packaging. It is your responsibility to check ingredient lists for any known allergens before purchasing or using our products. If you have a known allergy to any cosmetic ingredient, do not use the product and contact us if you need further information.

10.5 Discontinuing Use

Discontinue use immediately if you experience irritation, redness, burning, swelling, or any adverse reaction. If symptoms persist, seek advice from a healthcare professional. In the event of accidental ingestion or eye contact, seek medical advice immediately and refer to the product label for first aid guidance.

10.6 Active Ingredients

Some GENOSYS products contain high-strength active ingredients such as retinoids, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs), or vitamin C derivatives. These products carry specific usage instructions and warnings on their labelling. Please follow these instructions carefully. We recommend introducing active ingredients gradually and always using SPF protection during the day when using products that increase photosensitivity.
